Use word document as email template in Office 2010

Jan 15, 2011 10:16PM PST

HI. I have a protected Word document (protected so I can use the dropdown options). I would like to use this Word document in Outlook as an email template with all the formatting and dropdowns in-place. I would like to fill out the text boxes and dropdowns in the email template instead of filling out the word document and attaching it to an email. I have googled, tinkered with Outlook, etc and I can not figure out how to do this. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I second JSteinmetz's question. I have the same question too and I cannot find anything useful on this topic.
Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions for this problem.

I did try that, took me like an hour to figure the form out but it just posts to my inbox. It doesn't email out.

Well, I think I figured it out from looking at http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=35 but there is one thing that is still not working correctly. I can not figure out how to enable the dropdown lists that I was using in my Word document. Any idea's?

Sorry, I never used them myself, so I can't help you without spending too much time.
