Resolved Question

'''' Use TouchWiz-start for start-up screen ''''

Feb 4, 2015 2:38PM PST

Dear Forum Readers,

Greetings from Amsterdam, Holland.

Can anyone help me: I have a Samsung S5, and very frequetly there's a pop-up with the question 'Use TouchWiz-start for start-up screen'.
I then press 'Always' .
Then next screen then says 'Delete standard settings' where I then press OK.

Normally this message then shouldn't come back anymore, but unfortunetly it keeps popping up.

Does anyone know how to solve this ??

I appreciate it very much if you can help me. I'll even buy you a few fresh Heineken beers if you are ever over in Amsterdam Happy
Thanks again

Ted Anema

Try a factory reset.

I've run into similar with "Cleaner Apps." And since Android is the new Windows (lots to learn and cover) we back up what we can then do the factory reset. That has cleared it up every time. If not, you are looking at a defective product but not all is lost. Over at XDA Developers (google that) you may find replacement roms.

Isn't there a cleaner App available in Google Store, that will do the job ??

That would be a first.

I've seen the cleaner apps create more issues, not solve them. If you find one that works, stick with it.
