First, have you checked out the cable??? Tried a different cable?? Swaped L&R to see if it comes out the other speaker??? Put back the old DVD player to see it the audio is ok with it?
Now if the old DVD player works OK and you get sound from both channels, the DVD recorder has a problem. John
Hi, I have a Lite-On DVD recorder and an older (2000) Aiwa stereo with two speakers. The recorder is new, I previously had a Samsung DVD player. The problem is I use the stereo for added sound quality with TV or movies, and it worked fine with the Samsung ... but not so much with the Lite-On. For some reason the sound is only coming out of one speaker. I have checked all the connections (speakers are both plugged in to stereo, and stereo to tv), and the speakers function fine when I have just stereo or just TV on, but with the DVD recorder only one works. Any suggestions as to why, or how I could fix it?
