Question

Use Phone Audio Through Micro USB

Oct 15, 2015 6:55PM PDT

The headphone jack in my phone stopped working a while ago so I got an adapter that goes from Micro USB to a headphone port. I probably should've looked up how to use it first because when I plugged it into my phone it didn't work. Does anyone know how I can get it to work?
Phone Info:
Droid Maxx
Android Version 4.4.4

Android is not Windows.

Let's get the full make and model of this USB thing. Frankly I would have bought a Bluetooth headphone first.

There are USB to audio devices but so few have Android drivers.

I don't see the Droid Maxx on the list.

Nod to some Bluetooth headsets.

It's not possible to get this to work with all models because not all models have audio on the jack this plugged into.

I really want to avoid getting a Bluetooth headset

Aren't there any apps that can redirect the sound to the micro USB port? I mean, if I can get an audio file from my phone to my computer through micro USB, shouldn't it be able to output sound just as easily?

So far no.
