Question

use Miracast to send signal to 2 external devices

Feb 12, 2015 5:09AM PST

Hi,
I am hosting a trivia night at the library, I have over 60 registered attendees so far. I will have to use 2 rooms. They connect to each other by a 20 foot hallway. I would like to broadcast my monitor with the trivia questions to 2 external video sources, one in each room. I have 2 projectors available for this event. I researched Miracast but cannot determine if I would be able to do what I want. Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thank you

As far as I read the documentation, you must use a PC that supports 2 monitors (duplicate the image). You can connect your PC hardwired to one monitor, and via a Miracast to the other one.

But I might be wrong.

Thank you for your reply. I will need to be able to read the trivia questions and have them displayed on a screen in each room. I have 2 projectors and will project the monitor to screens in each room.

WiDi which you can research stopped at a single display.

It's a shame the details are so sparse here. Otherwise I'd mention duplicating displays with VNC.
