At the office we had such come on from data collection and a staffer would process them a few at a time. In your case I worry that you are not putting an engineer to the task. That is, you have a custom problem that needs an engineer to go over the problem to see if there's a better design.
Hi, In my work we have the need to upload from over 500 usb devices at once, to a central computer for the data to be stored and fed onto a network. I am wondering if firstly, its possible? There is 200 devices on the top floor that we need to upload to the central computer / kiosk. there is also 150 devices on the first floor and another 200 on the ground floor but they will all have to upload to the kiosk on the middle floor. What is the best wat for me to do this? I was thinking multiple x49 port usb hubs transferring via cat5 to the kiosk but was unsure if one computer can handle 500 usb connections? Someone mentioned adding extra usb cards to the computer. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
