USB TV Tuner DVR

Does anyone know if it's possible to record one program while watching another? Or do you have to watch what you are recording. I thought I read somewhere that with the external TV tuner, you didn't have to watch what you are recording. Thanks in advance.

This one is simple.

Count the number of tuners on your USB tuner. If you have one, then you can only record what you are watching.

Hint: I know of only the commercially offered USB tuners and they all have .. 1 .. tuner.
