usb slot wont detect

Hello, i got an imation Apollo m100 hard drive and working properly on other laptops/ desktops except on my own laptop. It is not detected or recognized by my 2 usb slot on the left sight of my laptop but it can be detected by the slot in my usb slot on the right side which is the right side.. tried inserting usb drives on the 2 left usb slot and its working properly except of hard drive. someone help me. thanks in advance

Sounds like the old power issue.

Try the usual USB Y Power cable to see if it's power related. There are many discussions about this issue and why I carry one in my PC repair kit bag.
