usb reset problem

hi can anyone help with this.
i have 2 usb ports on my system and i have 2 adapters in them which gives me 8 ports.
my problem is around every 15 minutes or so they all stop for a few seconds and then they restart, for example my scanner starts making noise just the same as when windows loads up, mouse freezes for a bit and then comes back on again, i have a usb bluetooth adapter that just stops and then trys to reconnect after about a minute. broadband stops for a few seconds as well.
ive searched everywhere and can't find out how to fix it. if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance

Tip: get that internet connection off USB.
