Question

USB Recordings 'Fail to play.'

Feb 8, 2015 7:37PM PST

Model: UE32H5500 SMART LED TV
Firmware Version: 2600
Hard Drive: Seagate Expansion 500GB.

The tv records, the recorded program appears in the file but on playback it loads and then comes up with the message 'Failed to play.'

Recordings were working well up until about 3 weeks ago but now scheduled and immediate recordings always fail to play. The timeshift function though still works correctly
.
TV and Hard Drive are both less than 3 months old.

The tv formats the hard drive correctly with no errors. The hard drive works perfectly when attached and formatted to my laptop. I do of course reformat it when I connect it back again to the tv.

Samsung customer support thought that the new firmware release would cure the problem but version 2600 released yesterday has not fixed this problem.

Does anybody have any ideas about this please?
