usb problem

by upstairs / November 18, 2005 11:15 PM PST

I have windows xp, everything is upgraded and I have the newest servispack. But my mp3-player and my usb-hub are not working. My webcam, mouse, card-reader work so I don?t know what to do. The strange thing is that the hub and the mp3 was working before. But I don?t know why they stop working.
Can anybody help me??

Not a word about the PC. Some require motherboard drivers even when some USB things work. And some find that some ports don't work (front, back, etc)

Tell more and try the other ports.

I have tried all the ports, but they work for everything else but not for the mp3 and the hub. I have a Intel Pentium 4 with 2 GHz processor, my grafic-card is a Ati Radeon 8500. But the funny thing is that everything were working in the beginning. I don?t know if it was some update or something else that stop it from working.

Unplug the non-working device. Research how to uninstall that device's drivers. Once that device's drivers are expunged, follow the maker's instructions again.

Remember that some devices may fail like this with USB 1.1 cables and cause such anomalous behaviour. Remember to test said device on another PC.
