USB ports not working

My two USB ports on the side of my PC are not responding anymore. I always keep my devices attached so it can't be due to damage or wear and tear. What could be the problem?

Recent findings.

Turn it off and on again.
The OS or the ports are damaged. Try the other ports on other PCs or this PC.

Does Device Manager show anything remarkable for the USB?

No, just fifthteen different entries. I would be very surprised that BOTH side ports are damaged as I rarely used them. I could try checking BIOS I guess but not sure what I would be looking for.

The first thing techs and others would check

Are the other ports. There is a way to test with another bootable OS like Linux but we do that after we check out the other ports.

What's stopping you from doing this check?
