We have a note about that in our Vista forum. But it's worth noting that if I install Vista that what you note DOES HAPPEN. This is not a bug. What did I forget? "Motherboard driver package."
After we know that we installed that and NEVER clicked on Microsoft's Update Driver button we read this -> http://forums.cnet.com/5208-12546_102-0.html?forumID=133&threadID=238817&messageID=2950937&tag=forums06;posts#2950937
Please read it again and notice the issue happens to all USB things, not just Kingston.
My computer will not recognise any thing pluged in to the Usb ports.
Device manager says Usb ports are all working fine but when you plug anything in to them nothing happens.I have fitted a usb card into the system and it works fine.I have deleted the usb ports and rebooted and also reinstalled them from the motherboard disc but still no use.
System is a Gigabyte GA-K8NS motherboard with 3 gig memory running Vista Ultimate with all updates installed,
Any help gratefully appreciated
