Question

USB ports

My hp pc is about 6 months old it has 6 usb ports 4 in back and 2 in front the front ports don't read anything so whenever I need to plug in a device I need to use back ports its a pain and not right the front should work how do fix this?thanks

I would not entertain repair but ask for a refund and go shopping.

I solved a comparable problem (when one of my front ports was damaged) by connecting a USB-hub to a back port. That hub lies conveniently on the top of the desktop.

Most likely it's some hardware issue (could be as simple as a loose cable inside the case). If warranty means sending it to HP and getting it back 4 weeks later, a hub might be a simpler solution. If under warranty a tech comes visiting you at home or your local shop can fix it, I'd try that first.
