Question

USB PORT NOT WORKING

I have a defective laptop, its built in keyboard and touchpad are not working so im using a usb keyboard and mouse. But, I was following a tutorial in how to fix a "usb device not recognized"(something like that), there is one method that you go to device manager under the Universal Serial Bus controllers then uninstall this "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" then restart.

after restarting my computer all my usb ports not working even my usb keyboard and mouse , so i cant open my laptop because i need my password to open it, and since my built in keyboard and mouse are not working. i cant do anything.

Any solution for this guys?
Expect buying a new one LOL.

When that happens

You are forced into repairing the built in keyboard. You left out a lot of detail but maybe all you needed was verification that you are now boxed into a corner.

Something to try

I have had an issue with USB ports failing. I located and downloaded the latest driver from the manufacturer, and reinstalling that driver restored the functionality.
