USB not working

My USB is not working & I have no idea how to solve this. I have checked for spyware/virus, but to no avail. Anyone else ever run into this? Any ideas how to solve???

How do you know it stopped working?

Have you plugged in several different USB periperals and none of them work? All hardware can fail. If your computer is a desktop, you can installed a new USB 2.0 PCI card for very little money or work.

yeah, I have tried everything, printer, phone, modem -- nothing works. what bothers me is that the sudden nature of it, one day fine, next day nothing.

How much is a new USB?
