For example if you used Microsoft's Update Driver button, that can get the wrong driver. To update drivers we go to the laptop maker's site for the page on our laptop and get the usual motherboard chipset driver package, install that (I defer to the maker for install instructions) then check if the maker has USB drivers. Some do, some don't as the USB driver is in the chipset package.
I am going a tad mad here trying to get my labtop running windows 8 to recognize my printer. After a recent update, the computer will not recognize the Brother printer. I tried system restore. I deleted the printer and restarted the computer just now and when I connect the USB key, it does not recognize it! I just updated all the drivers as well. I do not want to spend another penny using another tool unless you can recommend to me the right one. Do you have any recommendations? Do you have any suggestions?
