Question

USB JPeg Images to small on LG-TV

Aug 8, 2013 4:28AM PDT

Hi all!

I am using GIMP to create JPegs to be used in a slideshow via a USB, but the images do not fit the screen, they are to small. The latest attempt was 1920x1080 pixels, but still no luck.

I have been manipulating the images somewhat in GIMP e.g. adding various layers and txt

Any help very much welcome!

Thanks for adding that information. I'll look later for a manual at LG.com.

In the future to speed things up, add a link to the product. Usually that's frowned on as spam but as there is no LG reps here you have to help members help you out. By adding these details you get faster answers.

Thanks for replying, read a previous response you gave on New TV won't show photo's, so am glad it's you...creep, creep!
A little more background > I have saved the images in various pixel sizes, tried de-selecting progressive when saving as JPeg, ordinary photos work fine but if I manipulate (layers etc) and export the image as a JPeg I end up with a shrunken image on the screen!
Guessing is 'might' be a LG-TV setting I need to change, but I'm just plain stuck now!
Hope you can help...tx in advance!

I see, so should I be outputting the JPegs in baseline 15360 x 8640 or progressive 1024 x 768..? I'm trying to create a slideshow for a LG-Tv in a pub...so I have to get to work before I can try this!

I don't own this model and since it doesn't appear to play video files, I can't offer another workaround.
