usb interface ADSL modem and WAP

May 2, 2005 6:16PM PDT

I have ADSL modem that uses USB cable to connect to the PC.

Now, I have bought a notebook with wireless access and want to use wireless internet access within my home.

When I search WAP products, they mostly connects with ADSL modem via WAN port/cables. Not with USB cable.

what are the best options of making it happen without abandoining the present ADSL modem.

Wireless router with built-in ADSL modem are too expensive for me to buy.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I had a similar setup.
Unfortunately, the only way to resolve is buy a wireless MODEM/ROUTER. Stupidly I ended up buying a Wireless router and realised I needed to buy a modem with and ethernet port.
Now, I have a new MODEM/ROUTER and a Wireless router. But, it all works and cost about the same as I bought them from ebay.

Hope this helps

Kevin
