Is it possible to connect 2 PCs to 1 USB only Multi-Function Printer(HP 5510) with a USB hub? There's a new rule on our house network disallowing sharing of PC workstation driven printers on the network. We have a couple of PCs accross an office partition from one another in the parts room of our hospital Biomed. Engineering shop. One used by our clerk and the other is the only PC workstation for technician use in the shop. There are a couple of thin client workstations as well. The HP 5510 is installed on the technicians' PC. It had been setup as shared which allowed it to be used by the clerk and the supervisor and department chief via their PCs. The share has been killed. There are a huge number of Netwotk printers served by a few dedicated servers in the IT dept. server farm. The only color printers among them are ~1/2 mile of corridor away from our location.
If we can cable the 2 PCs mentioned above to the printer with a USB hub assuming installation of the HP 5510 on both PCS will drive it that way that'd be very helpful.
