USB GPRS Modem

Hi friends,
I need your help, I have purchased one USB based GPRS modem EDGE, now I am looking to send a SMS from it but unfortunately am unable to do this. I have done this before with Serial GPRS modem through AT commands and test that modem with Hyper Terminal but now with this USB modem i am unable to tst it form Hyper Terminal bcz on Hyper termial it is only displaying me the com ports. No USB port selection. so any one have any idea plz guide me. Thanks.
