Question

USB game controller calibration doesn't work

Aug 9, 2014 4:14PM PDT

Hello,

I am trying to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 with a racing wheel, called Rockfire Racing Star Vibra, but I can't calibrate it. When I open the "Set up USB game controller" function, when clicking on properties, I don't get any option to calibrate it. I only get 2 tabs, one for test and the other for vibration, and in the test tab the data of the (non-calibrated) X (wheel) and Y (pedals) axis is shown. There's a button that reads "Re-calibrate" which doesn't have any effect on the axes. I have tried plugging it on other USB ports but it doesn't work (same problem).
I would be extremely happy if I could return to the old calibration screen where you are asked to move in both directions, then leave centered, etc.

With my little knowledge I may think something about drivers. I think changing the drivers to other which has the old style manual calibration would work, I don't know how to do that though.

Please I would love if someone could help me solve this problem that is driving me crazy.

(There is no problem in the wheel physically, 100% sure)

Thanks a lot!

,,,,find help for that in these forums. That's pretty specific to the hardware "wheel" used and the game. You should try the forums at http://www.gamespot.com/forums/

Those tend to work when new, then time passes and some day you encounter a new game, some OS update and they fail.

Which means you are back to the maker (Rockfire in this case) to ask for updates or a fix. Most of the time folk shelve it and get a newer unit.
