USB Flash Drive won't work...

May 29, 2006 4:31PM PDT

Hi. My brother just bought a Generic 128MB flash drive, and it does not work. it just says
' Ther was a problem installing this hardware.
128MB USB2.0 Flash Drive Device
An Error occured during the Installation of the device.
One of the FILTER DRIVERS installed for this device is invalid.

So what do I do?
I am running XP SP2.

Thankyou for any and all help./

Did you click on the link and find what it displayed? You will notice, besides hard drives, flash drives too were problematic. The "filters" problem is common to "storage devices" which in turn refer to any storage device like HDs, CDs, flash drives.
