Question

USB driver error

Jun 13, 2018 11:42AM PDT

Hi there, I currently have an issue with my USB drivers not having installed correctly.
I was re installing the drivers for my keyboard and mouse when an error occurred, leaving me unable to use either. I restarted my machine in the hope that it might kick start the process again, but instead I'm now unable to login since the keyboard doesn't allow me to enter my password.
Is there a way I can at least open windows 10 without a mouse or keyboard?

Thanks.

Answer
Varies with PC.

But safe mode has to work or I call it a blown OS. Can you get to the BIOS to try legacy USB support?
Is the keyboard on the right USB ports? The front ports would be the wrong ports.

They are both connected to the rear ports and have worked fine in the past, it is just this interrupted install that has caused theme to be unresponsive. Could you tell me how I can open that from startup as I've heard F8 doesn't do the trick anymore?
Thanks

I can't know what PC you have.

But "theme"? I have found themes that really corrupt Windows so my advice is never theme Windows or Android if you can't deal with a wipe out.

You can google "How do I start Windows 10 in safe mode" next.

Apologies "theme" was a misspelling. I have an HP-8300 Elite quad core with i5-3470 processor.
I'll see what I can find. Thanks
