Question

USB Device not recognized in 7 64bit so can't use in XP Mode

Feb 9, 2014 8:03AM PST

Having an issue with Win 7 Pro 64Bit. I am trying to use a USB Device that does not have 64bit drivers. I do have XP mode and can easily run the program from inside XP Mode (off the Internet), but since the Host doesn't recognize the device It won't simply "pass it through" to the XP VM and allow the drivers to be installed from XP Mode. Is it because the host doesn't recognize it? Is there a way to "pass the device through and only use it in XP Mode?
Thanks

Sorry but this area is pretty well covered on the web. This won't let 7 use the device though.
