USB Device not Formatting in XP

Hi Friends,
I am having a Embedded device which can be connceted to Window XP
through USB.Device is having g_file_storage as USB target driver.I am unable to do full formatting of the device in Window XP,but can do formatting of the device in Window Vista and Linux.I would like to know
is there any issuses related to formatting in Window XP.What could be the possible solution to this problem.

But I'm unsure of the answer because of missing details. A recent formatting USB things cure involved installing the motherboard drivers. The owner was upset over this since "Why would it be that?"

But I'm sharing my last fix to a formatting issue just in case. A prior fix was to use the rear USB ports.

Hi Bob,

I have tried formatting the Devive with USB rear port but its not full formatting.But ya i would like to bring one thing to your notice that i am able to do quick formatting with the device in Window XP.I also tried formatting USB HDD in XP and was able to do it successfully.Could you plesse tell me what details would help you in answering the query properly.
