Remote Capture are the buzz words
Sep 28, 2005 12:27AM PDT

A lot of the lower cost Canon cameras can do remote capture with special software.

Of course most of this software is written for Windows.

You can do a Google search, using the following words:

linux remote capture digital camera

..............

Since I know little about Linux, that is about as far as I can take you.

The links that are found on Google will likly make more sense to you.

Video Surveilance on Linux has been around for many years. It offers what you ask but just like Linux can be difficult to configure.

Yup, it's out there.
