Were pretty limited compared to later years. I strongly suggest you use this as a TV and forget any idea it can be a Smart TV. Smart TVs are also dumber than any PC I see in use today.
If you want to add Smart TV features, try adding a smarter blu ray player, Roku, Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV box.
Hi all. Complete newbie to properly setting up tv to get the most. Have a Samsung LN40C500F3F and first question is: is this considered a smart tv?
Secondly if so I'm trying to connect it to home network. Looks like I will need to connect a USB as my on screen options for software upgrade immediately scans for USB. I can't find on google (I know right?!) what would be compatible to achieve this. All links take me to Samsung page but no info that assists.
Lastly is this model able to utilize Samsung apps on smart hub or too old? Believe it's 2010-2011 purchase.
TIA for assistance!
