That the new laptop has the new UEFI (bios) and you have to ask the maker how to enable legacy USB booting.
I've recently bought an Asus zenbook prime. I do not like the dual partition they have setup so I'm looking to merge partitions and reinstall windows. I've made a bootable USB with windows 8 installed on it, but I cannot get the laptop to boot from the USB, even with trying to get the bios to see it with file addresses. Any help?
