Question

USB Battery and my notebook

Apr 28, 2017 2:50PM PDT

Have a usb battery designed to offer electricity when none is around. Have it plugged into a Lenovo G-135 and the battery indicator in the tray shows no power coming in. Yes the battery is charged. Is there something one must do to the notebook to recognize that power is available at one of its USB Ports? Guidance sought

I have one and only one notebook that uses USB for power.

It's one rare machine. Let's take a different question.

Where in your notebook manual or where does the laptop maker show this feature?

In short 99.999% of laptops do not run from USB power.

Answer
are you talking about a power pack

if so, give model number of the power pack. In general, they are for phones and tablets, they do not pack enough punch to charge a notebook. look at the voltage and amps of the power pack and see if it matches what the laptop needs.
