USB Audio Converters for camcorders????????

Would any of these USB audio converters work with a camcorder's USB to convert it into a microphone input?

I'm going to say no.

When used on a PC or Mac, you would specify through the Operating System's control panel preferences which port to look for that audio-in. I do not believe you can be that specific on camcorders. There would be no reason to write that code in the camcorder's firmware.

But I would love to be proved wrong.
