Soo glad that the landing was "workable" - seems like they had a gradual entry into the river with a big splash impact at the end. Not much panic on the passengers part either.
Latest news I'm seeing is that there were bird strikes that probably took out the engines.
As they say, any landing you can walk away from is a good landing...
Obviously all the details aren't in as I write this about 1 hour and 45 minutes after this plane went down in the Hudson River. But to bring down a fully loaded Airbus in a river on a frigid day and have everyone get out safely? Unbelievable! Props galore for that!
