Urgent Need to know

Jul 10, 2005 11:02PM PDT

Hi
I am looking to create a website, not sure how much space I need.
I have looked at some sites, I want a site as large as www.hays.com/uk, how much space would I require?
Thanks

create web-site on hard-disk

First create your complete website on your computer. When you have everything working like you want, you will have a good idea how much space you need. Keep room for your site to expand.

Generally

Generally for small first-time personal sites, depending on content, around 50-100mb is good. If you plan on having a lot of high quality images then I suggest going in for something a little more. Also check up on bandwidth. While space is important, so is bandwidth, you can't have a site and run out of bandwidth. Normally, make sure you get about 500mb a month for personal sites. This should be more than enough even with high quality pictures.
