Urgent Issue with mouse and keyboard

Jan 26, 2005 3:30AM PST

Hello,

Since yesterday I have had a strange issue, If I plug a mouse and a keyboard into my computer it will either read that there is a key stuck or it will boot fine and the mouse will stop working in approximatly 1 minute of the computer being on. Usually I use a microsoft intelli mouse optical that is usb and ps2 compatiable, however I have tested this with several mouses which are not optical, and usually I use a microsoft kleyboard however I have also tested several keyboards. I have managed to start my computer with the mosue pluged into the usb port however the mouse will also stop working. any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

I am running:
syntax motherboard
intel pentium 4 with hyper threading
maxtor 120 gig harddrive
tdk indi dvd drive
sony floppy drive
3m eithernet card
xfx nvidia gforce 4000
512 ram
thermaltake 420 watt power supply
