Dec 24, 2006 6:15PM PST

Hi every ones. I work with Autodesk Inventor 10 wich use IE6 features to run some of its applications. I have upgraded/installed the new version (IE7) of IExplorer and thoses features does'nt work properly anymore.
Poeples from Autodesk told me that the software has setted to work ONLY WITH IE6. so, How can I get back from IE7 to IE6 browser?? I dont see IE in the ADD/remove progrhttp://forums.cnet.com/5200-6620_102-0.html?forumID=14

Why the link? It took me to the "You are creating a new discussion" window.

What does "Submitams into my Control Panel" mean?

You should have an entry to remove Internet Explorer 7 in the Add/Remove programs utility of the control Panel. It is listed under "Windows Internet Explorer 7".

If not, try restoring to the date before you installed/upgraded to IE 7 using the System Restore option.

Definitely try System Restore first. If you try rolling back to IE6, you'll wind up with a sort of hybrid that looks like IE6, but has the IE7 icons and tabs. The tabs work, but the hybrid crashes just as incessantly as IE7!

Once you make the mistake of trying to roll it back, any prior restore points you have will be as good as garbage. Try restoring from any one of them, and IE will stop working completely.

If you manage a successful System Restore and get "Ol' Reliable IE6" back, I suggest you immediately go to MS Update, select the custom update option, uncheck IE7, and check the "hide" box that appears. Then go ahead and download any remaining critical updates. From then on, you won't have to worry about IE7 slipping into your Automatic Updates.
