COPY fromhere tothere
That's it. It's one line so nothing hard about it.
Ok, why not Linux? You can boot up almost any LIVE CD and well, no command line or Linux knowledge required.

Hi, I need urgent help...
I have an exam on friday and I need revision documents and this is my situation:
My OS has broken, however I know the hard drive is still accessible, I also have the recovery options available to myself which includes the command prompt, my question is:
How would I copy the content from my C: drive to my external hard drive using the command prompt, which after looking I have found to show up as the F: drive.
Many thanks You might just be a life saver
