Uploading photos using jumpshot cable.

Nov 13, 2004 8:00AM PST

I recently had a computer crash. Since it was "fixed" by backup and reinstall, I have lost the ability to upload photos from my memory card using my jumpshot cable. I have windows ME operating system, a Kodak DC3400 digital camera, and a Lexar jumpshot cable (2000)with 64 MB Lexar memory card. I have reinstalled all camera and jumpshot cable information from the 2 discs I have. According to the Lexar support site, my cable requires no driver. So far, Lexar has been unable to solve this problem. I have great faith in you here! Someone recently solved another problem I had, and very quickly too!

My bet is missing motherboard drivers.

Your crash and OS fix/install for most will not install motherboard or USB drivers. Your post neglected the forum tip so I can't help much until you supply what that forum tip asks for.

I'm not sure what else is required here (I'm a novice at computer terminology). I have an HP pavilion computer using windows ME. I've already mentioned the camera and jumpshot cable information. It's possible that the computer came with Kodak information that is now gone. I have just figured out ( with help from Lexar support) how to see my photos using the jumpshot cable and then using the removable disc icon under "my computer". However, prior to the crash, when I plugged in the jumpshot cable, the photos would appear onscreen in some sort of Kodak folder. I could then copy them into my documents and delete them from my memory card. I hope that helps. If I'm missing some information, please let me know. Thanks.

R Proffitt,

It's actually working OK now, just not quite the way it was before. Thanks.
