I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 from 2006 that has 1GB RAM but I popped in a SSD for speed.
It did upgrade to W10 but before I did the upgrade I uninstalled the Antivirus and any apps I could reinstall later. It was very clean.
Now for the upgrade I used Microsoft's Media Creation Kit and selected the 32 bit version since this laptop has a CoreDuo. The memory stick I used was a cheap 4 buck stick at 16GB. I plugged in the stick and ran the setup.exe. I didn't time it but a few hours later the old laptop was on W10.
I wanna upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 home professional.
I've tried with this link to upgrade from win 10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10
Initially it checked for suitable for upgrade says yes and new window opened and installing windows .... after 99% showed some error couldn't upgrade. Why it's happened I don't know.
Then tried with windows media tool for upgrade same repeats after downloaded upto 99%.
I've dell inspiron with 4 GB ram 500GB HDD.
Please share the ways to upgrade. any way I need win 10.
