Upgrading USB 82801 to USB 2.0 Enhanced

My HP Pavillion has 2 USB Ports, but they're 82801 BA/BAM, not the newer, faster 2.0 enhanced. Is it possible to upgrade to the 2.0 and if so, how?

You can't upgrade your existing ports, since USB 2.0 requires a whole new USB controller... But you can buy USB 2.0 PCI cards.

are inexpensive and easy to install. You can also buy combo cards that have both USB 2.0 and firewire ports.
