My solution was to install the USB 2.0 PC-card, then get the USB WiFi dongle device. Some have only a single PC-card slot, so this is an out.

I own a Dell Inspiron 4150 notebook, with only one USB slot. I am looking into getting an external hard drive, but from what I read, it seems I really need a USB 2.0 slot to be able to work on an external hard drive at a decent speed. Ive come across CardBus adapters which seem like a possibility. The only problem is that I have 2 slots, one of which is being used by a wireless network card. Because the wireless card goes up a little bit, it seems to be obstructing the upper slot. The USB card does this even more so, so I was wondering if anyone knows if this will or wont work? Or if anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great. I really need a little help please, and thanks so much in advance!
