upgrading ram with vista home.

any point to increasing ram from 2 to 3 gigs? would there be a big benefit?

Since XP/Vista limit apps to 2GB RAM and...

Even if we tweak the OS to allow 3GB to the apps, the apps must be compiled to use over 2GB.

So the payoff is slim, none but there are those that must get 4GB for bragging rights?

was because newegg is running a deal on kingston ram for $30 a stick. didn't want to miss out if there was any benefit to increasing my ram. thanks.
