Question

Upgrading RAM Problem

Sep 1, 2017 11:08AM PDT

I currently have one 2gb stick of ram in my pc. I bought one 8gb stick to replace it with. Same type and speed. When I install the new stick I get no signal unless I remove it and put the old one back in. I've tried resetting the bios and still will not work. What could be wrong?

It usually means the new stick is incompatible.

Crucial.com did not list any 8GB sticks.

The mobo supports 4GB @ 1333 per slot max.
Best to go with a kit.....2x2GB.....2x4GB.
Be sure to fit it in the proper slots for dual channel.

You have kind of a mis-mash of anti products installed.
