can move the existing data with Ghost as long as the destination partitions are = or > than the old partitions.
and life goes on...
I currently have a Compaq Presario M2000 with a 40gb HD. I wanted to upgrade to an 80GB HD, but need to know something.
I have 4 partitions on the 40gb HD.
C-12gb 1.6gb free -Windows XP operating System
D-20gb 2.5gb free -Installed Programs
E-4gb 185mb free -Music/Media
F-2gb 55mb free -Misc
(Hmmm....2gb that are missing)
I would like to know if I can get the new HD and partition it differently than the one above, and use Norton Ghost or something to image my current HD and transfer the image to the new HD.
I don't really want to install everything back on my computer, just increase the capacity of what I already have.
If this is not possible, I guess I have to reinstall the OS (Yeachh) and all the programs etc.....
Any help would be appreciated.
