I've had my machine for about 2 years now and I've decided to upgrade it part by part, and i have a couple questions with compatibility.

If I was planning on using either of those gpu's I would plan on a psu upgrade at the same time.
Pkg deal.

Just my opinion on a psu.

Filter by power supply.
Filter by Corsair or Pc power+cooling.
Look for something in the 600w+ area.

Those should all be single rail/no fuss psu's.

My hardware knowledge isnt too great, what does single rail mean? and I'll be buying a new power supply with the card so what would you recommend?

It's arranged by the budget. As to the single rail, the moment you read about PC power supplied you'll learn about that. Look at the lists again.
