Question

Upgrading a graphics card

May 3, 2017 5:14AM PDT

So I have absolutely no idea where to begin with hardware, software has always been my thing. And as such, I don't really know what to do with this. I paid £300 for my PC and when I got it I found out that its graphics card is terrible. It runs some games relatively easily but most of them require the lowest possible settings and even then I get under 15 fps and massive input lag.

The card is a 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 710
If anybody can help me with finding a better graphics card and installing it I would be incredibly grateful.

Take the side panel off the machine and read the label on the side of the power supply.
Post the make and model.

Look around on the case and see if there is a label that shows the make and model.
Post the results.

If this is some mini/micro case it will be a problem getting much of a graphics card inside.

Is the monitor plugged into the video card or the mobo?
