UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 7 CAN'T ACCESS INTERNET

UPGRADED FROM WINDOWS VISTA TO WINDOWS 7 ON DELL INSPIRON LAPTOP. CANNOT CONNECT TO INTERNET EVEN THOUGH I AM CONNECTED TO MY FIOS ROUTER. ALL DEVICES AND DRIVERS ARE UPDATED. ANY FIXES FOR THIS?

I ALSO UPGRADED A TOSHIBA LAPTOP THE SAME DAY AND DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE WAS ABLE TO CONNECT TO INTERNET IMMEDIATELY.

Tell more.

While you write about the OS, tell the forum about all the drivers we need to find and install after a Windows install or upgrade.

I updated the drivers for the network adapter in case that was the problem. That was it.

How did you do that?

And since the motherboard driver is installed before this, why did you skip the usual install order?

Just a hint. That Microsoft Driver Update and check is still not good enough. Also, if you want the forum to comment about drivers, you may want to tell the full story with make, model, etc.
