The hard disk will work fine with your new PC, however you will have to reinstall the operating system. This is because the new PC will have different hardware configuration and the OS installed on your HD will be looking for the older hardware and refuse to boot up.
If you are concerned about data loss by reinstalling OS then you can also repair the old OS which will keep your files intact and just adjust the OS to the new hardware setup!
After my old PC crapped itself I am looking at building a new one...
Here is my problem: I want to save the reuse the boot drive from the old PC (File Systme Intact) in the new PC. (Basically just swap the old boot drive from the old PC to the new one)
This drive is XP NTFS formatted tho
Any help would be greatly apprecited
