upgrade windows xp to windows 10

My computer's oper. system was windows 7 that I upgrade to windows 10. I found the virus and rebooted it and as result I got black screen. All my trying to fix it was without success. I decide to installed oper. system windows xp that I can upgrade to 10. But again problem; computer can't connect to internet; drivers like Ethernet controller , PC device, SM Bus controller, video controller
WIndows xp I took from my old HP laptop, this computer desktop gateway. Unfortunately I deleted windows 7 when installed xp. Please help; what I need to do?

an OEM installation disc, or a retail version of windows 7?

You should install W10

Why? Because Microsoft's license system marks your PC as "good for 10" through digital entitlement.

Yes we could go over a lot more but let's skip everything and just install W10.
