upgrade Vista Ult 32 bit to Win7 Ult 64 bit?

Nov 14, 2009 8:25AM PST

I have a Toshiba L500D (dual-core AMD CPU) with Vista Ultimate 32 bit loaded, and want to make the most of its processing capability. Can I "upgrade" from 32 bit to 64 bit or does it need to be a "clean install"?

No, and this topic has been covered in dozens of other threads. Go find one of those for further details. And no, it doesn't matter if it's Win 7 Starter or Win 7 Ultimate, the rules apply the same.
