General discussion

Upgrade language.

Dec 21, 2009 5:47AM PST

I bought a dell inspiron a few years ago but from Dell latin America. As my language is English I had the English windows vista as my O/S.

I am thinking of upgrading to Windows 7. I will have to download W7 but am concerned as to what language the download will be in. I have asked the question on the Windows forum and a mod tells me that the download will be in the (already)installed language. I gave my stepson my dell laptop which also had the English version but when he downloaded the version was in Spanish. He done a clean install and was not given the choice, his natural language is Spanish so was no problem. My IP is latin America.

I have tried contacting Dell direct to find out but everytime am directed to Dell LA (in Spanish)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Go buy the physical media in the package that has the right language.

Problem is that the cost of traveling to the States would cost twice as much as the programme and unless I used Fed express (or equivalent) not sure I would ever receive it.

Again both methods would almost double the price. Thanks for the reply but just thought there may be an easier way to verify what download I would receive.

Thanks again..
